Quarantine
New horses will undergo a 2 week quarantine period for everyone's health and safety.

They will be able to see their new friends without direct contact, the beginning of introduction.

Feed (if required) will be given in their new paddock, under quarantine, but on the same schedule as their new herd to help them ease into their new routines.

We encourage owners to continue to come see their horses during this period as there have been a lot of changes and they will benefit from familiar faces and routines.
Introductions
After quarantine is completed, introductions will be made at the horse's pace, both your horse and the existing herd. The goal is to reduce the drama and anxiety of introductions.

We will start with horses who are hanging out nearby, maybe choosing to eat and rest nearest your horse. As those friendships begin to develop, we'll add the middle-ranking horses. The rest of the herd will follow depending on their dynamics.
